First day on the road and men just ran at us!
Everytime we went to back up or swing the Casita - men would just come running over almost shouting - I'll do it! I'll do it! We let them have their way with us - worked out great. The first time was after I tried to swing us through the gas station pumps and the pumps were weirdly just a little too on the diagonal - Aunt Kass got us straightened out but a sweet young thing drove it through and up to the exit. The second time was backing up tonight - Aunt Kass was well on her way to a successful trip - but another sweet young thing just volunteered to finesse it the rest of the way - he even winked as he strode off after his mission.
People like helping people? Or - these young men were raised well and helped out these matrons? Either way - the help was welcomed.
The rolling hills through Maryland Pennsylvania and West Virginia were so green today - the trees and early spring flowers in bloom. The dairies and horses farms looked like a children's village playset - just beautiful.
It took almost 2 hours longer then we thought - so much road construction - and it looks like more of the same tomorrow. I'm getting more comfortable trailing the Casita - this was a great section to learn on - some hills (7% grade - not bad for a beginner) and little traffic.
We switch drivers every 2 hours or so. But we seem to be having a bit of problem keeping the master electrical line plugged in - we're going to duct tape it tomorrow and call the guy who installed it for some suggestions.
