Day 5 - Grand Junction

Snow dusted peaks and green blooming mountains filled the windshield.  We chased the Colorado River all day  - it gushed along white cap snow melt filling the banks.

We stopped in Parachute Colorado - and read about the 1904 railway robbery - one of the last railway robberies.  And sadly in 1976 - a fire that killed some of the forest fire fighters.  Its a lot of history for a small town.

Tonight we're in the Day's Inn - and planning on joining up with another Casita at our first campground.  I think I'll run the shower extra long tonight - and tomorrow morning!

PS - best shower YET - full force/not too hard water/great choices of spray.  My 'last' shower is a good one - I'm going to take another one in the morning just to enjoy it all over again.  See - already the trip is working - I no longer assume these gifts!
